January 2024

General
January 2024, our 15th Year A new year has started, we have expanded our workforce with Jake joining as a junior surveyor. Business has continued to be brisk with the programme starting to fill up for the next few weeks. Hopefully we have seen the worst of the flooding although snow has been forecast in the near future, not ideal for outdoor working! We are continuing to work for clients in the local area, especially in The Forest of Dean, Herefordshire & Worcestershire. Gloucester itself has been a particular hotspot though we have travelled further afield to the bright lights of London and in the other direction to the West Wales coast. Let’s hope 2024 continues to be as diverse and busy.

It has been a challenging 12 -18 months for everyone, fortunately we have been able to work throughout the vast majority of it. Outside work has its advantages! We have all been getting used to being based at home during these strange times but with technology as it is there haven’t been too many issues. Our main office still remains as a base for operations, we’re just checking the post and using the print facilities on a weekly rather than daily basis. A new phone and voicemail system ensures that we are notified straight away of any messages that are left. Work continues to be busy, with a combination of new and repeat clients. Schemes ranging from watercourse surveys in Gloucester, measured buildings of churches in Buckinghamshire to topographical surveys…

Happy New Year, Welcome To Our New site

General
Happy New Year from all here at Monument Geomatics, during the Christmas break we've been busy preparing our new site for release. We've given it a huge design overhaul to bring us right up to date with a clean, contemporary feel. There will be many more updates to come as we redesign smaller aspects of the site and fully update our content. We are now into our 11th year of business at Monument, with 2019 being our busiest year to date and undertaking some of the largest schemes in the companies history, these have included large scale measured building projects at a variety of sites around Gloucestershire and Herefordshire, larger topographical surveys for road design, housing developments and more, plus smaller topographical surveys for developments closer to home, and further…
